The Kids Count Dinner reaches its' first goal
The Kids Count Dinner, which was sponsored by Network Labour Services, saw the charity reach it’s first goal - which was to raise £15,000 to buy a new holiday home for Candlelighters at Primrose Valley near Filey.
Ros Raine, Charity Manager for Kids Count, spoke to guests about how the charity aims to improve the quality of children's lives across the region.
Ros said "In a very short time we’ve had amazing support from companies, like Network Labour Services, who see the opportunity for Kids Count to make a real difference to sick, disabled and underprivileged children in our area.”
Inspirational lady speaker, Nicky Pattinson, spoke after dinner giving guests an insight into her colourful life which has taken her from deep personal sadness to being an international speaker.
Crackers and a raffle - with prizes donated by Form, Residence 6, Cllr Harris, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Holiday Inn Garforth, The Grand Theatre & Opera House, MySpa and Fiori – raised cash during the dinner, which was hosted by Magic 828 presenter Glenn Pinder and 96.3 Radio Aire presenter Liz Whitaker.
Thank you to sponsor Network Labour Services, speaker Nicky Pattinson, Form and all the companies who donated raffle prizes and everyone who attended and supported the dinner.
